About the role We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Senior Site Supervisor at our UG Operation in South Australia.
Flexible rosters available such as Monday - Thursday FIFO roster (4/3) ; or ***** ; or Mon – Fri Residential Roster, the Senior Site Supervisor is a critical role pivotal in overseeing Bulk Delivery Operations to OC/UG customers directly from the field site, while also providing essential support to other sites within the South Australian Region.
Attending client meetings, performing incident investigations, and playing a key role in developing safety management plans are just some of the duties the Senior Site Supervisor will perform.
This role can either be viewed as a long-term and secure site-based Supervisory role, or an ideal stepping stone into a Territory Managerial career with Orica.
What you will be doing Living and breathing Orica's safety values always.
Coordinating site mobilisations and demobilisations.
Lead and motivate a highly skilled team of MMU/ MCU Operators; Provide analytical/decision support to Territory manager on continuous improvement plan.
Coordinate logistics of raw materials, equipment, and MMU/MCU / Fitters Operators.
Ensure operational process meets Orica standards and customer's expectations.
Change management, project management, people management, report generation, prep and conduct customer meetings.
What you will bring
• 5+ years of proven experience in an operational leadership role.
• Qualifications in frontline management and project management (demonstrated)
• Knowledge of the UG mining / explosives industry is essential
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
• Sound knowledge of good operational practices and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated previous experience leading and managing people, assets and customers.
• Sound knowledge of the mining industry (desirable).
• Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to effectively lead and train small groups
• Experience in system / process / risk improvements
• Decisive: You have the ability and experience in making decisions quickly and soundly.
• Urgency and Energy: You demonstrate requisite urgency coupled with energy to drive consistent and repeatable performance from your teams.
• Ownership: You own the responsibility assigned to you as Supervisor and the deliveries of your team.
