The role
Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to join our team in Bayswater, WA. This full-time, permanent role will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts across WA. You will play a critical role in maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and delivering value-added solutions. Working closely with engineering, estimating, and site-based teams, you will represent PROK as a trusted partner, supporting continuous improvement for our clients.
Key responsibilities
- Account Ownership: Manage and grow key client accounts across WA mining and industrial sectors. Build strong relationships at both site and corporate levels and understand client needs deeply.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Identify and develop sales opportunities, provide technical recommendations, and close deals. Meet and exceed annual sales targets for conveyor components by delivering the right solutions to your clients.
- Client Retention & Support: Undertake regular visits to client sites and port operations, offer on-the-ground technical support, and provide proactive follow-up to ensure long-term satisfaction.
- Value Creation: Implement strategic agreements such as exclusive supply or fixed-price contracts where appropriate. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient quoting, engineering input, and project delivery.
- Market Intelligence: Gather insights on competitor activity and client operations to help PROK remain competitive, agile, and innovative in its offerings.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion customer feedback and use it to drive service delivery enhancements and solution development. Help clients improve efficiency and performance through proactive account management.
About you
- Experienced Account Manager: With a proven background in B2B sales within mining, mechanical, or industrial sectors. Ideally with conveyor components or related engineered products.
- Technical Problem Solver: Capable of understanding client challenges and working with technical teams to design practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Relationship Builder: You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and can engage confidently at all levels of an organisation.
- Proactive and Accountable: You're driven, can work autonomously, and consistently follow through on commitments and earning your clients' trust.
