Engineering Design Leader Role Overview
This is a highly skilled engineering design position that involves undertaking, coordinating and approving complex designs for facilities connected to the distribution network.
The role requires conducting thorough investigations, managing technical information and leading process improvements in the field of electrical engineering.
The ideal candidate will be based at our state-of-the-art facility in Forrestdale, Perth, featuring cutting-edge infrastructure and technology that supports work-life balance.
Your Key Responsibilities
To ensure accurate project inputs and outputs for work associated with the distribution network.
Complete documentation, assessments and maintain relevant computer system data, adhering to standard business processes.
Ensure technical compliance across the design community and identify any non-compliant activities as necessary.
Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders on projects issued via corporate systems.
Manage change processes with proper documentation, including variations to projects, procedures and processes.
Schedule and plan daily and weekly work to meet agreed targets.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other work groups.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Eligible for membership of The Institution of Engineers, Australia.
8-10 years' experience in utility engineering companies.
Extensive knowledge of distribution standards, policies and procedures.
Understanding of distribution construction practices and processes.
Solid technical leadership and coaching skills.
