We are looking for a Cook to provide a quality food and dining service to our residents at St Catherine's Residential Aged Care home.You will have experience within a commercial kitchen, preferably in aged care.
The role is Wednesday through to Saturday (6.30am – 2.30pm) and you must be available to work all the shifts.
The key focus areas of the role are
* Preparation of fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs and wants
* Tailor meals for dietary requirements, allergies and personal preferences
* Prepare texture-modified diets and supplements that remain tasty and appealing
* Collaborate with the Clinical Managers to keep dietary records updated
* Maintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the aged care quality standards
* Working collaboratively with team members to ensure the effective running of the household, focusing on resident needs and preferences
To be successful in this role you'll need
* A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
* Strong customer‐centric approach and relationship building skills
* Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or similar (Essential)
* Ability to build relationships with older people
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
* Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is preferred
