An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Specialist Outpatient Admin Service as a Referrals Officer. In a high pace environment you will be proficient as an Administration Officer generating and issuing the referrals, for all appointments to the department. About us:
The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services. An important part of the services Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Serivce provide is outpatient referrals, patient record maintenance, and clinic waitlist schedules amongst other tasks. This role is also customer patient facing so an experienced customer service candidate who can multi-task is a requirement. This position is located at the Cairns Hospital.
About you:
In your new role you will……
* Assist all staff in the work area and develop a highly compatible and supportive working team, whilst demonstrating effective communication skills, empathy, and understanding, in a patient focused environment.
* Managing clinic sessions as requested by clinical staff which includes, creating, cancelling and closing of clinics.
* Liaise with other units regarding delivery and collection of patient details, and other clinical documentation in preparation for outpatient services.
