Working at Gladstone Port QLD, with potential for other project/shutdown work.
* Competitive Rate:
Casual EA rate $65.35 p/h (including 25% casual loading) + OT Penalties (from base rate) + Tool Allowance.
* Shutdown Dates:
02 February to 20 February 2026
* Shutdown Roster:
12 Hour shifts - Day shift 13 days on 1 day off, Night shift - 6 nights on 1 night off

Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking experienced
Special Class Welders
to join our team in
Gladstone, QLD
. In this site-based role, you will work on structural and piping repairs, precision welding, and shutdown maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standard.
ABOUT YOU
* Trade Qualified:
Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication or equivalent, plus AS 1796 or AS/NZS ISO welding certifications.
* Technically Proficient:
Skilled in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding, with the ability to pass Magnetic Particle (ME) and Ultrasonic (UE) examinations. Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy welding.
* Site Qualifications:
Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card, Working at Heights (within 2 years validity). Willingness to undertake a 3 site Medipass
* Team Oriented:
Ability to work effectively within a team, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
