Construction > Project Management Permanent Melbourne Excellent project pipeline across Hotel, Hospitality, Office, Government & Education sectors Great culture, strong team with excellent tenure and progression opportunities Our client is a growing boutique project management consultancy with a robust pipeline of projects in Education, Health, Hospitality, Hotels, Aged Care, Office, and Government sectors. Projects range from fit-out/refurbishment to new builds, typically up to $60m, sometimes exceeding $100m. They are seeking an experienced Assistant / Project Manager with a background in head contracting or client-side roles, ideally with experience across various construction phases. Key skills include client-facing stakeholder management, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Procurement of design consultants, contractors, and specialists Contracts administration and claims management Managing statutory approvals and design development Understanding various procurement models and contract types Issue, risk, and dispute management Delivering project management services within scope, schedule, and budget Scope development and tender submissions Developing and maintaining networks and delivering outstanding service Managing regulatory approvals and design coordination Stakeholder engagement and management Working in live environments with buildings operational during construction Health and safety compliance Program and construction management Managing site variations, design changes, and costs Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or similar 3-5+ years' experience in client-side or head contractor roles Proven end-to-end project management skills from concept to completion Contract administration experience Experience managing timelines and critical paths Experience with a variety of building projects, including commercial fit-outs Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and analytical skills Problem-solving ability and adaptability Proficiency in MS Office Suite and industry-standard contract forms (GC21, AS4000, AS4122, AS4902) Experience managing multiple smaller projects This is a permanent full-time position offering challenging work and career progression within a successful organization.
