**ABOUT OUR CLIENT**: Our client is a leading Australian privately owned and operated water treatment business who focus on overcoming complex water and chemistry challenges for organisations throughout Australia.
With a solid reputation of over 20 years' experience within the chemical and water treatment industry, they are experts in water treatment services and they have a team of high performing chemists, chemical engineers, technicians and support staff who provide bespoke solutions to the mining, municipal, power generation and food and beverage industries.
They are currently seeking a General Manager who is able to step in to lead this already successful operation and take them to the next level of growth.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**: This critical leadership role, reporting to the CEO of the broader business, is responsible for delivering on its growth plans. The business has an investment budget, supported by government grants, that will enable it to expand local manufacturing facilities and relocate into a new fit for purpose facility within the next 12 to 18 months.
Specifically, responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that people and operational plans support the financial performance of the business
- Driving high performance, setting challenging goals, taking action and a commercial approach
- Identifying and building new opportunities in the market to promote accelerated growth
- Managing ongoing transition and change (including seeking out possibilities for relocation)
- Managing the budget and P&L;
**YOU WILL REQUIRE**:
- A background in and/or qualifications in chemicals/chemistry, preferably water treatment
- Proven experience in driving business growth
- 10+ years' experience leading a team
- Change management experience
