Job Description
This pivotal role reports directly to the CIO, empowering you to shape the Cloud Operations team in your own leadership vision.
You'll lead multiple teams (Infrastructure, Network, Applications) along with the Service Desk Lead, playing a vital role in the technical operation of Vault's highly secure cloud services for some of the nation's most critical customers.
* Oversee service management across our OpenStack cloud environment.
* Modernise platforms, uplift ITIL compliance, and champion service excellence in a high-consequence environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading technical operations across Vault's cloud infrastructure and services.
* Implementing, uplifting and maturing ITIL-based processes and frameworks.
* Shaping and scaling a high-performing operations team.
* Engaging in continuous improvement of service delivery, vendor management, and platform modernisation.
Requirements
To be successful, you must have:
* Proven experience of successfully leading and managing a technical Operations team to deliver high performance and operational excellence.
* Technical leadership in service operations through the ITIL framework.
* Alignment with our Core Values in adding positive value to our culture.
* Experience in supporting a 99.99% or higher, 24/7 mission-critical environment, preferably in a military/Defence context.
* The ability to communicate to successfully influence all levels of stakeholders and engage them in executing strategic initiatives.
Note: The scope of this role requires an Australian Government Security Clearance; therefore, applicants must be Australian Citizens and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
