About the RolePJL Group is seeking a motivated and hands-on Process Improvement Lead to drive operational excellence in our Mechanical workshop.
Based in our Orange workshop, this role works closely with tradespeople, supervisors and support teams to identify, develop and implement practical process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity and quality without disrupting day-to-day operations.
This is a workshop-based role requiring strong floor presence and a genuine understanding of how maintenance and rebuild work is performed in real time.
You will analyse current mechanical processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement structured improvement initiatives using lean or continuous improvement methodologies. The role also involves supporting change management, engaging teams, analysing operational data and developing clear, practical documentation to ensure improvements are sustainable and measurable.
About You
* Experience in heavy mobile plant or mechanical workshop environments is preferred
* Proven ability to implement process or operational improvements
* Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience (desirable)
* Mechanical Engineering degree (desirable, not essential)
* Solid WHS knowledge
* Practical, hands-on problem solver
* Able to build strong working relationships with trades and operational teams
* Clear and effective communication skills
