We're seeking a hands-on Site Foreman who takes pride in premium finishes, runs an organised site, and leads by example. This is a role for a skilled carpenter who enjoys being on the tools while taking full ownership of day-to-day site operations on architecturally designed homes. With a strong pipeline of secured projects, this is a long-term opportunity with a respected residential builder.
The Role
This is a practical, working Foreman position. You'll be actively involved on the tools, whilst guiding the team & setting the standard for workmanship and site presentation, while ensuring each project is delivered to a high level of quality and finish.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, hands-on carpentry across all stages of construction
* Interpret architectural drawings and specifications accurately
* Use of the companies internal systems and processes to manage the project
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors ensuring premium standards
* Plan and sequence works to maintain schedule and quality
* Maintain exceptional standards of safety, cleanliness and site presentation
* Order materials and manage site logistics
* Resolve onsite issues efficiently and professionally
* Work under the guidance of the Managing Director and project stakeholders
* Train and mentor apprentices and junior carpenters to high standards
About You
* Qualified Carpenter with 2+ years experience as a Senior Carpenter, Leading Hand or Foreman on high-end residential projects
* Strong understanding of quality finishes, tolerances and detailing
* Highly competent in framing, timber work, detailed carpentry and fix-out
* Comfortable contributing across all aspects of a build, including:
* Demolition and structural alterations
* Excavation and basic residential concrete preparation
* Structural steel, brickwork, cladding, waterproofing and insulation
* Ability to read and execute architectural and engineering drawings
* Own quality carpentry tools and a reliable vehicle
* Organised, calm under pressure, and solution-focused
* Confident leading a small onsite team and managing subcontractors
* Excellent communicator who represents the company well with clients
