SAP BTP Technical ArchitectLocation: Sydney, Australia Work Mode: Onsite
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Technical Architect to design, lead, and deliver scalable and secure SAP BTP solutions across enterprise landscapes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining architecture standards, guiding development teams, and enabling integrations between SAP and non‑SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define end‑to‑end SAP BTP architecture aligned with business and IT strategyDesign and implement solutions using SAP BTP services, including: SAP Integration SuiteSAP Extension SuiteSAP Work ZoneSAP Mobile ServicesLead architecture for cloud‑based integrations between SAP and third‑party systemsDrive BTP application development using CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) and/or RAPDesign secure authentication and authorization using SAP IAS/IPSEstablish architecture best practices, standards, and governanceWork closely with SAP functional, Basis, middleware, and security teamsProvide technical leadership and guidance to development teamsSupport solution design reviews, performance optimization, and troubleshootingEngage with stakeholders and present architectural decisions clearly
Required Skills & Experience
✅ SAP BTP Expertise8–12+ years of SAP technical experienceStrong hands‑on experience with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry & Kyma environments)Deep knowledge of BTP services and account models✅ Integration & ExtensionStrong experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh)Experience developing extensions using: CAP (Node.js / Java)SAP Fiori / UI5Strong understanding of REST, OData, SOAP, RFC, IDocs✅ Cloud & ArchitectureKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with microservices and container‑based architecturesUnderstanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and automation in SAP landscapes✅ Security & GovernanceExperience with SAP BTP security concepts (OAuth, SAML, XSUAA)Identity and Access Management using SAP IAS/IPSUnderstanding of compliance and enterprise security standards✅ Communication & LeadershipStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to lead architecture discussions and guide teamsExperience working in large enterprise or consulting environments
