Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller to design enterprise-grade data models and implement scalable Medallion Architecture for analytical and operational data platforms. The role involves developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring high-quality, consistent data structures across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support analytical and operational reporting.
* Architect and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze → Silver → Gold) for structured, governed, and curated data layers.
* Develop normalized (3NF) and dimensional (star/snowflake) models.
* Produce ER diagrams, metadata specifications, and data dictionaries.
* Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust data models.
* Optimize existing data models for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
* Validate model designs to support downstream BI tools and machine learning workloads.
* Establish and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
* Support engineering teams with schema design, lineage, and transformation logic.
* Work with Snowflake and/or cloud data warehouses to ensure alignment between logical and physical implementation.
Requirements
* Strong experience with dimensional modeling, relational modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
* Demonstrated capability in designing and implementing Medallion Architecture in modern data platforms.
* Proficiency in SQL and understanding of physical database design.
* Experience with modeling tools (Erwin, ER/Studio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, etc.).
* Ability to document data models clearly and communicate technical concepts effectively.
* Exposure to Snowflake, Lakehouse architectures, or cloud-based data platforms.
