We are seeking a passionate and motivated Youth Worker to join our team. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting young people to develop living and life skills.

The ideal candidate will have the minimum qualification requirement of a Diploma of Youth Work, Community Services, or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, successful candidates will have the opportunity to enrol in the relevant course independently if they do not already meet this qualification.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply. While a qualification is desirable, lived experience and willingness to participate in training are essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate skills and experience in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation. They will also possess knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
">
As a Youth Worker, you will work therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced significant challenges and trauma. You must have a valid and current Driver's License, Satisfactory Criminal History Check, Valid Working with Children Check, and Valid NDIS Workers Screening Check.

About the Role:

* Assist young people to develop living and life skills.

* Role model and reinforce positive behavior through social learning, social responsibility, and emotional intelligence.
">
* Promote democracy and support young people to engage in a participatory environment where they can have a say in and influence the decisions that affect their lives.
">
* Provide support to children and young people living in the accommodation service, including undertaking household duties such as cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation as required.
">

Key Selection Criteria:
">
* Demonstrated skills and experience in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation.

* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
">
* Demonstrated experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced significant challenges and trauma.

* A valid and current Driver's License.
