Purchasing & Logistics Assistant
to join our Melbourne Logistics team at Head Office in Altona North.
In this key position, you will manage the end-to-end procurement and logistics process, ensuring materials are sourced efficiently and delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring prompt order confirmations from suppliers.
Review and resolve order confirmations to align with company requirements.
Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery of supplies.
Process shipments in the system and forward invoices to Accounts.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented professional with:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
to track and expedite orders to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
to liaise effectively with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams.
A proactive and self-driven approach
, with the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
.
A background of at least
2–3 years in import logistics and purchasing
is highly advantageous.
