Digital Canberra is seeking an enthusiastic Cyber Security professional to lead the expansion of the Cyber Security Centre’s Incident Response capability. This role is suited to a skilled cybersecurity professional with advanced incident response capabilities, including alert prioritisation, threat diagnosis, remediation planning, and proactive prevention. The ideal candidate will be experienced at monitoring environments and responding to emerging threats. You’ll contribute to process documentation, playbook development, and security policy enhancement, while staying informed on evolving technologies and the threat landscape. Robust analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a commitment to high-quality customer service and the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.

As part of the ACT Public Service (ACTPS), Digital Canberra offers some of the best hybrid and flexible working arrangements in Australia. Eligibility/Other Requirements
- The successful applicant must be an Australian citizen and possess, or acquire and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (ASVGA) security clearance at the Negative Vetting 1 level (NV1) as an eligibility qualification. This clearance will be sponsored by the Digital Canberra Directorate. If screening is not successful, employment will not commence or, if already commenced, employment will be reassessed.
Notes
This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
