Eligibility: Applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). Position Profile:
* Assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion programmes for Aboriginal people in the Wheatbelt region, in collaboration with the Manager – Wheatbelt Aboriginal Health Service, Health Promotion Officers, community representatives and key stakeholders.
* Promote awareness of risks associated with smoking and reduce other lifestyle risk factors contributing to preventable chronic disease among Aboriginal people within the Wheatbelt.
* Demonstrate a positive commitment to modelling organisational values, safety and quality improvement and the Code of Conduct in all aspects of employment, and comply with all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation including confidentiality and work health and safety.

* WA Health staff are required to undertake criminal record screening and integrity checks as part of the appointment process; other checks (working with children, pre-employment health assessment) may apply.
* Applicants must comply with the Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check and pre-employment health assessment (PEHA); an unsatisfactory PEHA may result in withdrawal of an offer.
