The purpose of the role is to build the teaching and research profile within the Faculty of Health

About the Position
As the Senior Lecturer in Psychology, you will be responsible for making a significant contribution to the discipline at both the Territory and national level, which may include playing a significant role within the profession, industry group or discipline. In both research/scholarship and teaching, the role will foster excellence and make original contributions, which expand knowledge or practice in their discipline.

The Senior Lecturer in Psychology will contribute to the Psychology (and related) programs across the Faculty, including the development of new and innovative programs/units. This position will be involved in the development and teaching of units (courses), utilising both on-campus and flexible-mode of teaching, and learning support, and to engage in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts. The post will offer scholarship, leadership and research within their discipline leading to improved student experience and outcomes.

The Senior Lecturer in Psychology will develop and disseminate a stream of appropriate research relevant to their area of interest.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

* Post-graduate qualification in psychology with relevant clinical experience.
* AHPRA registration and endorsement by the Psychologists Board of Australia as a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist.
* Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor
* A Ph.D. qualification in Psychology (desirable)
* Experience working across the lifespan in clinical neurocognitive assessment
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, including an understanding of the importance of contributing to staff meetings and discipline committees
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with well-developed time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to contribute to and lead the development of units/courses and student resources in response to reflective practice and application of scholarship (including for online and face to face teaching) and within the context and requirements of a quality education provider.
* Demonstrated ability to represent the University at a range of forums, and to liaise, communicate, negotiate, and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and partners, to deliver a valued service and achieve agreed outcomes.
* Willingness to embrace the knowledge, skills, and ideals of practice in rural and remote areas.

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level C. The base salary will be in the range of $138,554 - $162,146 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $162,108 - $189,710 per annum, including 17% superannuation (pro-rata).
