The Role:
The Psychologist will:
* Provide specialist psychological assessments, treatments, and secondary consultation services within a multidisciplinary framework.
* Act as a consultant to other agencies regarding forensic mental health assessments and support, and promote mental health awareness and education.
You will need to:
* Deliver evidence-based assessments and treatments supporting individuals with complex forensic needs.
* Provide expert consultation to enhance care planning, risk management, and mental health education across the criminal justice system.
* Contribute to quality improvement, research, training, and promote a rights-based approach to care.

Details of appointment:
Fixed-term full-time position, day hours, with on-call roster, 76 hours per fortnight, starting ASAP for 12 months. Hours are negotiable.
This process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to 12 months from the date of publication.
Salary:
$110,425 to $121,907 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation. Salaries beyond $119,290 depend on qualifications and/or application to the upgrade scheme.
Additional allowances may include:
* Professional Development Allowance up to $1000/year

* Travel and relocation support up to $15,000 for overseas and $10,000 for interstate applicants.

Essential criteria:
* Approved tertiary qualification in psychology.
* Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
*Registration must be current and maintained throughout employment.
Desirable criteria:
* Endorsed in Forensic and/or Clinical Psychology or working towards endorsement.
* Current Driver's License.
