Hitch Campers is a family-owned camper trailer manufacturer based at Coomera on the Gold Coast.
Hitch Campers is looking for an experienced design engineer to improve current designs and develop new products for release to the market.
The Engineering Role (Main)
- Updating and maintain Solidworks drawing revisions for existing products.
- You will work with management to assist the implementation of new products into production.
- Oversee quality control checks being carried out on products being manufactured, ensuring they are within tolerance and specifications.
The Support Role (Assisting / Coordinating)
- Liaise with marketing to ensure websites, catalogues, brochures are up to date.
- Highlight features incorporated into new designs to marketing team.
- Work with RnD to prepare user manuals and service guides.
- Work with marketing to prepare user videos for maintenance.
- Engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential. Your practical experience in a similar field will be preferred.
- Conversant with measuring tools and tolerances.
- Hands-on skills using Solidworks and Microsoft Office are desirable.
- Able to challenge current thinking and clearly express ideas to senior management & support staff.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a drafting or similar role and conversant with many manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in a light engineering manufacturing-based industry (automotive/trailer) is ideal but not necessary.
- Be extremely quality conscious and passionate about your work and results.

Usual hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
**Salary**: $58,969.37 - $105,997.80 per year
