Primary objective
Manage and maintain the corporate business intelligence system within the Department of Corporate and Digital
Development, ensuring the application and server base leverage the latest technology available within the organisation to
deliver timely, accurate information across the organisation.
Context statement
DCDD Data Services provide Business Intelligence services across the NTG.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide ongoing system management of the Business Intelligence environment and ensure system availability and
integrity.
2. Supervise ongoing system and user support.
3. Manage relationships with external vendors in relation to ongoing systems software, maintenance, licensing, upgrades
and enhancements.
4. Evaluate, develop and deliver training strategies to satisfy a wide range of data access and use, for routine and ad hoc
management reporting and research.
5. Provide expert advice on Business Intelligence technical and design matters for management and end users.
6. Monitor the integrity of client information and ensure that training has been delivered in accordance with clients'
requirements.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High-level conceptual and analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems using innovative solutions.
2. Highly developed written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively and
strategically with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
3. High-level experience in administering mid-range/enterprise application environments.
4. Supervisory experience of a team or workgroup in a highly technical support environment.
5. Ability to prioritise support requirements to meet desired timeframes.
6. Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Proven ability to work with minimum supervision and as a member of a team.
8. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates the Department's values of professionalism, accountability,
honesty, innovation and respectfulness

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data related field of study
