The Role
Reporting to the Learning Area Leader of Languages, this 0.5 FTE fixed‐term role commences immediately and runs through to the end of the year at our Caulfield Campus. The role involves shaping a rich and engaging language curriculum that inspires students and fosters a love of learning. We're seeking an enthusiastic French and German teacher who brings genuine passion for engaging and challenging students, along with a strong interest in leveraging learning technologies to enhance the classroom experience.
Key Duties
* Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible programme that caters for individual students.
* Deliver learning programmes that demonstrate a research‐based knowledge of how students learn.
* Evaluate personal teaching and learning programmes including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning.
* Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture.
* Provide reports within school standards and timelines.
* Actively participate in professional development activities.
* Embrace a culture of collaboration to enhance student learning.
* Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills and Experience
* Hold a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications.
* Ability to teach the MYP and/or VCE will be highly regarded.
* Experience teaching French and German in an educational environment.
* Ability to connect positively with students and show genuine care for their learning.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
