About the Role
We're currently seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our road crew in a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position - with the potential for extension.
You'll work across a variety of sites and national contracts, servicing both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, with occasional interstate travel offered.
You will have the added responsibility of being on-call as part of a rotating roster.
You'll need to be flexible and ready to jump in when needed, ensuring we keep things running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Perform general carpentry and joinery duties, including measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.
Construct and repair building frameworks and structures, including plaster repairs.
Complete first and second fix tasks, such as installing skirting boards and architraves.
Install and repair structures and fixtures, including door and window installations and replacements.
Carry out minor tiling repairs and replacements as needed.
Inspect and replace damaged frameworks, structures, or fixtures to ensure functionality and safety.
Conduct general maintenance checks and repairs, following client quotes and requirements.
Respond to service calls, including after-hours jobs, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Work independently or as part of a team, supporting senior staff when needed.
Apply strong safety practices, attention to detail, and effective time management in all tasks.
What You'll Bring
Trade Certificate in Carpentry or related.
3–5 years hands on experience as a Carpenter.
Maintenance and commercial experience desirable.
White Card and valid Driver's License to be able to travel to various client locations.
Working at heights and other tickets desirable but not essential.
What We Offer
Competitive hourly rate: $35–$40
Fully equipped company vehicle + phone + tools
Company uniform.
