Introduction
ArcelorMittal South Africa is recruiting for an Operator grade 2.
Key Performance Areas
• Make use of bolt cutters to cut of coil heads and tails
• Feed coil heads/tails into reform tubs
• Make use of portable shear to cut samples
• Attach labels to coils
• Drive remote crane
• Assist with fault finding when scrap occurs on the Ashlow line
• Assistance on Roughing Mill and Intermediate mill with water pipe and tackle
• Adjusting roll gaps
• Moving scrap buckets with tractor and crane (remote crane driver and tractor driver licenses)
• Taking samples from furnace
• Cutting and removing Scrap
• Assist during builds and maintenance days
• Cleaning and housekeeping tasks
Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
Experience required - Entry Level
Personal Attributes
• Enthusiastic and self-driven.
• Work independently and in a team
• Physically fit.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Able to work in high heat area
