:

We are seeking a Controls and Information Technology Technician to join our team at Collie Battery Energy Storage System (CBESS) facility.

CBESS is located near Collie, Western Australia, and is a major grid-scale lithium battery project aimed at stabilising the South-West Interconnected System (SWIS) and supporting renewable energy integration. Located about 150 km south of Perth it connects to the Western Electricity Market via a local substation. CBESS is being constructed in stages, with Stage MW / 1000 MWh) operational in November this year. Once complete, CBESS will be one of Australia's largest commercial batteries, capable of storing around 500 megawatts or 2,000 megawatts of power when full. It helps manage excess solar generation during the day, supplies energy during peak demand, and provides critical grid services such as the ability to charge and discharge large amounts of energy rapidly. CBESS will also deliver vital inertia services to help stabilise grid frequency, preventing it from falling too low or rising too high. This inertia is essential for maintaining a stable and reliable electricity supply.

When you work for us, you get the chance to join nearly 50,000 people all driven by a common purpose – delivering a more sustainable world. We're excited about the challenges ahead. If you ask us, there's never been a more rewarding time to work in the energy, chemical and resources sectors.

As a Controls and IT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the control systems and IT infrastructure critical to the operation of CBESS. You'll work closely with operations, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure high availability of automation systems, network communications, and data integrity. You will also assist the team as a technician so a trade background and electrical licence would be highly regarded. The role is a residential position with the candidate to reside no further than 1 hours' drive away from the Collie CBESS facility. The role is Day Shift only working a 38-hour week Monday to Friday with an on-call basis over the weekend.
