Position Overview

The SABIS Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist provides high quality, patient focused, evidence‐based neuropsychology/clinical psychology assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to improve outcomes for clients and families engaged with Southern Area Brain Injury Service within Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

What You'll Be Doing

Provide high quality, patient focused, evidence‐based neuropsychology/clinical psychology assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to improve outcomes for clients and families engaged with Southern Area Brain Injury Service within Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

Selection Criteria

* A fully registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Psychology Board of Australia with a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or another recognised clinical area in psychology. The postgraduate qualifications must be no less than two years full time duration (or part‐time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.
* Demonstrated extensive experience in assessment, including psychological and neuropsychological assessment, intervention, and evaluation of clinical outcomes with patient populations within a Rehabilitation framework.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently in the provision of patient and family focused care.
* Ability to effectively plan and coordinate client care independently.
* Demonstrated ability to manage clinical caseload and prioritise appropriately in conjunction with the overall team to ensure clients are seen within an appropriate timeframe.
* Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
* Ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives, professional development and service evaluation processes.
* Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' license and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires, which may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
