An exciting permanent opportunity has become available as the Head of Merchandising Solutions.

What You'll Do

As the Head of Merchandising Solutions, you are the strategic architect of Woolworths' commercial range and space capability. Your mission is to ensure we tailor our range to every store to meet the specific needs of the communities we serve. This is a high impact leadership role responsible for transforming "Merchandising Solutions" from a support service into a strategic engine fueled by AI, predictive insights, and operational excellence.

You will lead a large team, overseeing the systems, processes, and training that empower our Category Managers, Range & Space, and Store Space Deployment teams. You will ensure our toolkit and processes are fit for purpose to deliver the optimal range in every store, consistently exceeding customer expectations.

* Monitor and identify process improvements across range and space to service 1,000+ stores. You will remove complexity from the range review and new store renewal processes through smarter systems and streamlined capabilities.
* Enhance and develop digital tools to create better efficiencies and meaningful outputs, ensuring our technology drives tangible commercial outcomes.
* Orchestrate the multi-million dollar investment roadmap (Capex/Opex) for the tools powering Woolworths' national range and space strategy.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships across the Woolworths Group ecosystem—including IT, WiQ (Advanced Analytics), and Commercial leadership, to deliver integrated end to end results.
* Lead the development of training programs across Range and Space to uplift team expertise and ensure the business can execute our "Customer 1st" strategy at scale.
* Translate complex technical delivery into clear, meaningful outcomes for stakeholders, focusing on simplifying communication to drive alignment.

What You'll Bring

* Extensive experience in senior commercial or merchandising roles within a large-scale, complex retail or FMCG environment.
* A systems & Delivery Mindset with proven experience in launching technical systems and managing large scale process improvements (e.g., managing 30-week range review cycles).
* A proven track record of working across a large group to deliver tangible outcomes through strong partnerships across the eco system.
* Strategic communication with the ability to take the "noise" out of complex systems and processes, making them simple and actionable for the broader business.
* A future focused leader, coach and mentor who can develop a team, focusing on succession planning and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
