Italian Head Chef & Kitchen Chefs – Immediate Start
Mandolin Restaurant in Caroline Springs is expanding our kitchen team. We are a busy Italian restaurant offering authentic flavours, fresh ingredients, and high-quality dining. We are now seeking skilled and passionate chefs to join us right away.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3+ years experience as a Head Chef in Italian cuisine
* Proven experience managing kitchen teams of 5+ staff
* Experience with traditional Italian cooking techniques and regional dishes
Essential Skills:
* Expert knowledge of Italian regional cuisines and traditional cooking methods
* Proficiency in pasta making, pizza preparation, and Italian sauce techniques
* Strong menu planning and food costing abilities
* Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
Qualifications Required:
* Commercial cookery qualification (Certificate III or IV) or equivalent
* Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
* RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification preferred
Work Eligibility:
* Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia
* Valid Australian driver's licence preferred
* Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Leadership Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff
* Experience with inventory management and supplier relationships
* Strong communication skills for liaising with front-of-house team
