Network Infrastructure Professional
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Council's technology infrastructure operates efficiently and securely.
An ongoing condition of employment is that employees must meet requirements to possess an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC). To qualify for an ASIC, applicants undergo periodic Police background checks, politically motivated violence checks, and Australian citizenship checks arranged by the employer.
Main Responsibilities:
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field, coupled with extensive experience in IT infrastructure management.
* Demonstrate proven expertise in designing, administering, and supporting data networks, including LAN/WAN environments and IP/cloud telephony systems.
* Exhibit working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and their application within SCADA and CCTV environments.
* Showcase ability to lead technical projects on time, within set parameters, and to high standards, while effectively collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
* Display excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving through strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
