**Position overview**
The Division of Student Administration and Academic Services (DSAAS) is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio. DSAAS is responsible for the administrative support of students functions throughout the student lifecycle, from when an offer is made, through to the completion of their studies and graduation. Activities of the Division include admissions, general student enquiries, enrolment, class timetabling, program management, financial transactions, scholarship management, examination management, legislative compliance in relation to students including appeals, grievance academic misconduct, discipline processes and curriculum management.
The Student Administration and Records (STAR) team is part of DSAAS and reports to the Deputy Manager, STAR. STAR is responsible for providing a diverse range of services to coursework and non-award students, and the wider ANU community, including: the coordination and facilitation of invoicing for student fees, debt collection and legislative compliance, cancellation of students for non-payment of fees and the approval of refunds. STAR work closely with other areas of the Division, ANU Colleges, Service Divisions, the Dean of Students office and Executive staff, including external bodies and government agencies.
