Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining a deep understanding of day-to-day payroll operations, enabling you to identify opportunities for optimisation, strengthen governance frameworks, and enhance data integrity and controls.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive mindset—someone who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, and who is motivated to drive continuous improvement across payroll processes, controls, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
* Maintain strong governance, controls, and audit readiness across the payroll function
* Perform and oversee key reconciliations, including payroll to general ledger, taxation, and superannuation
* Evaluate and optimise end-to-end payroll processes across the employee lifecycle
* Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and standardisation initiatives
* Partner effectively with stakeholders across Finance, People & Culture, and Technology
* Lead system enhancements, testing, and ongoing optimisation of payroll platforms
* Provide leadership, guidance, and development to a small payroll team
About You
You are an experienced payroll professional with a strong understanding of legislative requirements, governance, and risk management.
