Project Administrator
Location - Geelong, Victoria (initial training to be provided in Keilor Park)
Build Your Career on Iconic Projects
For over 30 years, Cooke & Dowsett Plumbing Group (CDPG) has been a trusted name in the construction industry, delivering exceptional outcomes on some of the most iconic projects in Australia and New Zealand. Established in 1992 from humble beginnings, we have grown to become synonymous with quality and excellence, successfully tackling our customers' most challenging projects.
About the Opportunity:
Due to the recent award of a number of high-profile projects within the Geelong region, we are expanding our operations team and are seeking a motivated Project Administrator to join us.
This is more than a traditional administration role. You’ll be at the heart of live construction projects, working closely with our Project Managers and site teams to help keep projects running smoothly from start to finish. If you enjoy variety, responsibility and being part of a team that delivers real, tangible outcomes, this role will energise you!
Initial project-specific training will be provided at both our Keilor Park office and Geelong office, so flexibility to travel between locations is required during the onboarding period.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a key support to our Project Managers, you’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, including:
* Coordinating administrative activities from project setup through to completion
* Supporting project schedules, documentation, reporting and contract administration
* Managing project compliance, permits and approvals
* Preparing reports, correspondence and distributing project documentation
* Taking meeting minutes and tracking follow‑up actions
* Liaising with internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders
* Providing general project coordination and office support as required
No two days look the same — and that’s exactly what makes this role rewarding.
What We're Looking For?
The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 2 years’ experience in an administration or coordination role
* Construction industry experience preferred but not essential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attention to detail and time management
* A can‑do attitude and willingness to learn in a project‑driven environment
Why work for us?
At CDPG, people stay because we invest in them. You’ll be joining a stable, supportive and high‑performing team with genuine opportunities to grow as our business continues to expand nationally.
We offer:
* Permanent, full‑time employment with long‑term job security
* Exposure to major, landmark construction projects
* A supportive, inclusive workplace culture with regular social events
* Ongoing training and development
* Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
