About the role
Ahern Plumbing is seeking an experienced Business / Financial Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Mornington, Tasmania. This full-time role is a crucial position within our organisation, overseeing the financial and operational functions to support the company's continued growth and success.
What you'll be doing
* Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis
* Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure efficient cash flow management
* Lead the preparation of periodic financial statements and other management reports
* Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies
* Collaborate with the leadership team to optimise business performance and identify areas for improvement
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
* Manage and develop the finance team, providing mentorship and guidance
What we're looking for
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
* Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, reporting and cash flow management
* Proven ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations to support business decision-making
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Proficient in the use of financial management software and other relevant IT systems
* Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
