About Our Role
We have an opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, located at Chifley Park, Mentone, reporting to the Senior Manager Demand Planning APAC. As a Demand Planning Manager within Simplot’s Global Food Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team, you will shape demand strategy across the APAC region. You will work cross-functionally with Planning, Sales and Operations to drive forecast accuracy, reduce bias, and support business growth. You will lead demand forecasting using data-driven insights, run scenario analyses, and present recommendations to senior leaders. You will manage and mentor one Demand Controller, ensuring alignment with planning processes and continuous improvement in forecasting performance. You will build trust across the organization as a supply chain advisor and help Simplot meet evolving customer demands with agility and precision. What You Will Do
Lead and set objectives for the Demand Controller aligned with regional and global goals. Ensure the Demand Controller understands how their work supports outcomes like forecast accuracy, inventory optimization and S&OP; effectiveness. Use statistical models and market intelligence to refine forecasts and predict sales trends. Run complex simulations to support strategic decision-making. Present data-driven recommendations to empower leaders to make informed decisions. Own the 3–4 year demand forecast and drive continuous improvement. Contribute to evolving the demand planning space through technology and analytics. Engage stakeholders across functions to align planning strategies. Collaborate with global teams to share knowledge and enhance capability. About You
5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related field Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical forecasting and data modeling (time-series, causal modeling) Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and forecasting platforms (e.g., SAP IBP) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence across functions Comfortable in a dynamic, tech-driven environment with a focus on analytics and business partnering Proactive, solutions-focused, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills; ability to navigate ambiguity Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities People leadership experience is highly regarded Applications close Friday 17 October.
