Your New Role as Cardiac Sonographer
As part of the Healthe Care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality echocardiograms and stress echo's in specialised rooms and on hospital wards.
* Perform high-quality transthoracic and stress echocardiograms in 3 HealtheHeart locations: Lingard Private Hospital, Charlestown and Maitland Private Hospital
* Work closely with our imaging cardiologists to interpret echocardiograms and provide detailed and timely reports using a streamlined reporting system.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
* Ensure the highest standards of patient care, comfort, and safety during procedures.
* Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies, ensuring optimal functionality.
* Participate in continuous professional development and stay up to date on the latest advancements in cardiac imaging.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Delivering high-quality cardiac sonography services
* Working collaboratively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals
* Providing accurate and timely reports
* Maintaining accurate patient records
* Ensuring patient safety and comfort
* Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment
* Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac imaging
About You
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cardiac Sonographer who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and committed to ongoing professional development.
* Relevant qualifications in cardiac sonography
* Minimum 2 years' experience performing a wide range of cardiac ultrasound examinations
* Current accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
* Strong clinical skills and experience in performing a wide range of cardiac ultrasound examinations including stress echo
* Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathophysiology, and imaging techniques
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and continuous professional development
* Experience with structural heart cases (TAVI, Mitra-Clip, etc) is desirable but not essential
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and pride in the accuracy of your work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
