Support Worker - Aged Care and Disability
Permanent Part Time
The Support Worker provides flexible and person-centred care to people accessing aged care and disability services. They assist our most vulnerable community members to be independent and live in their own homes, in a way that understands, respects and facilitates individual interests, needs and preferences.
Key responsibilities:
Provide practical and physical support as needed for daily personal care and domestic duties, including assistance with:
* Daily hygiene routines and personal care
* Preparation and cooking of meals
* Assist with medications
* Provide social support, such as having a coffee, going shopping, buying groceries, attending appointments
* Domestic assistance with vacuuming, making beds and general household cleaning
* Provide encouragement and support to maintain independent living skills
* Encourage and support clients to understand their rights and responsibilities and to make informed decisions while maintaining the client's dignity, integrity and confidentiality
* Complete reports and document incidents in accordance with CBS policies and procedures

What you bring:
* Certificate III in Individual Support
* Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration with NDIS endorsement (or ability to obtain)
* A National Police Check that is no older than 3 months (or ability to obtain)
* Driver's licence and access to a reliable car
* First Aid and CPR certificate
