Join our dynamic team as a full-time HR Crane Truck Driver. Based in Thornton, NSW, this crucial role will see you operating a crane truck to deliver reinforcing steel for our valued client throughout the Hunter region.
Key responsibilities
* Operate a heavy rigid (HR) crane truck safely and efficiently to transport reinforcing steel and related products
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition
* Ensure your load is secured and safe for travel
* Unload the trailer using the truck mounted crane, ensuring all goods are secured properly by the lifting chains
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and completing deliveries on time
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to deliveries, vehicle maintenance and NHVR legislation
* Adhere to all relevant road and safety regulations
What we're looking for
* A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence with a proven track record of safe driving
* A current Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) license or higher with relevant and recent experience
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations on the road
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A commitment to safety and a willingness to follow policies and procedures
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
