About the role
The Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology is responsible for providing holistic care to patients with gastroenterological conditions by recognizing symptoms, diagnosing, and managing conditions alongside patients and their families. The role involves triaging gastroenterology referrals, conducting bowel cancer screenings, prescribing medication, and participating in research projects to optimise patient care.
Collaboration with the Nurse Manager of Interventional & Ambulatory Care, Director of Gastroenterology, Deputy Director of Nursing and Gastroenterologists is essential. Education and ongoing professional development are encouraged.

Requirements
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
