Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking a passionate and driven Finance & Payroll Accountant based in Australia to join our high-performing team. This regional role covers Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. You will lead key finance functions including payroll, management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and financial assessments, influencing strategic decisions across multiple countries.

Responsibilities
Finance Function
Assist in preparing the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation.
Monitor and review internal controls and processes for continuous improvement, working with other departments to enhance systems and processes.
Provide support and guidance to management and staff on financial and accounting matters.
Coordinate and complete financial, accounting, or administrative duties as required by RHQ or senior management.
Ensure compliance with corporate, financial, and accounting policies and reporting deadlines.
Ensure statutory and timely reporting to government bodies and statutory boards.
Maintain compliance with Australian legislation and Hexagon policies, ensuring accurate and timely statutory group audits and tax reporting (ALI & SIG).
Payroll Function
Process monthly payroll for 100+ employees with the assistance of a payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare FBT submissions.
Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll accuracy and alignment.
Prepare monthly accruals and reconciliations for leave, commissions, and bonuses.
Handle payroll tax preparations.
Projects
Participate in ad-hoc assignments and projects as required.
Education / Qualifications
At least 3 years’ experience in financial accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong accounting background across various functions.
Experience coordinating a team to meet deadlines and adhere to legislation.
Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively.
Experience with Australian payroll systems.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of ERP systems and Onestream.
Taxation experience.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with executive managers, contributing to decision-making.
High attention to detail and accuracy, especially with complex data.
Ability to present financial data clearly and logically.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
