Therefore, due to continued growth we are excited to invite applications for a full time Financial Accountant to join the team at our Bendigo Head Office.As the Financial Accountant, you will be a detail-driven and forward-thinking professional who will maintain the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of our financial records and systems.
In this key role, you'll ensure accurate, compliant financial data and reporting, strengthening transparency and enhancing financial performance.This role will provide the successful applicant with a great opportunity to build on their career, and to be part of a dedicated and dynamic team.Duties involved, but not limited to:Preparation of Financial ReportsProvide reporting on KPI's, variances and changes in the financial reports as well as recommendation for causes and improvementsPreparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting obligationsAssist with CAPEX management functions and reportingAssist with FBT management functions and reportingAP/AR functions as requiredCompliance functions as requiredPrepare accruals and journals as requiredReview prepared financial statementsEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresOther ad-hoc finance duties as requiredThe successful applicant must demonstrate the following:Prior experience in similar role requiredSound knowledge of accounting principles, including month-end and year-end processesStrong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and financial legislationTertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related disciplineMembership of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) highly regardedPrevious experience in a dynamic, fast pace environment, with the ability to meet tight deadlinesSolid communication skills, a can-do attitude and high attention to detailProfessional and reliable work ethicFriendly, approachable personality who enjoys being part of a close knit supportive teamCurrent National Police Check or willingness to obtain onePlease submit your application, including resume and covering letter addressing the key requirements via Seek.
