About the role: This is a Full-Time position
You will work with a team in the construction and maintenance of commercial landscape projects located in Northern Sydney (on the M2 Motorway) whilst undertaking part-time study at TAFE completing a
Certificate III in Parks and Gardens (Course Code: AHC31016)
The
Apprentice Landscape Gardener
position requires a good level of fitness to undertake physical tasks such as repetitive heavy lifting, bending and standing for long periods.
* Landscape gardening tasks include but are not limited to:
* Planting trees, shrubs and other vegetation
* Trimming, fertilising, mulching and watering plants
* Grading and installing lawns
* Weed removal and control
* Construction of walkways and retaining walls
* Regular maintenance on garden beds, parks and lawns
* Operate machinery and equipment safely under supervision
Skills And Experience
* The ability to work in a team environment
* The ability to follow instructions given
* A willingness to attend TAFE one day per week
* An interest in working outdoors
* Previous experience in landscaping or horticulture is favourable but not essential
* A willingness to obtain a Construction Induction Card (White Card)
* A willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (if over 18)
Renumeration
$40k - $50k + superannuation
