The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Logistics & Inventory Manager
to join Downer's
Energy & Utilities - Telco
division. Reporting to the
Procurement Director
, this role is responsible for end-to-end logistics, inventory, and distribution operations across the AU Telco business.
You will lead a team of logistics coordinators and purchasing officers while acting as the primary relationship owner for an outsourced warehousing and distribution (3PL) provider. This role is critical to ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and high-performing supply chain outcomes that directly support project delivery and customer commitments.
This is a key leadership role with influence across procurement, project delivery, commercial, and supplier partners, offering the opportunity to drive continuous improvement at scale.
What you'll do
* Own and manage the outsourced 3PL warehousing and distribution partnership, driving KPI performance and service improvements
* Lead logistics, inventory control, and purchasing operations to optimise cost, service, and compliance outcomes
* Manage and develop a high-performing team across logistics coordination and purchasing
* Partner with project, commercial, and procurement stakeholders to support business and project delivery priorities
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across logistics, inventory, and systems
