Senior Residential Care Worker Position
The role of a Senior Residential Care Worker is to provide comprehensive support and supervision to children in a home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support and activities that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each child
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living space, including meal planning, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and washing
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date records and documentation are maintained
* Provide guidance and direction to additional support staff as needed
Requirements for Success:
* Significant experience working with children and young people who have complex behaviors and trauma backgrounds
* Strong understanding and application of therapeutic principles and models
* Cultural competency and ability to work effectively with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children and young people
Additional Requirements:
* Background checks will be conducted, including National Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check (WA), and WA Child Protection Check (DCP 395)
* Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate
