We are looking for a passionate Web Developer to join our like-minded technical team at Evodian. Working closely with their Team Lead and Data Engineering peers, a Web Developer would play a big part in our core mission to provide value to organisations via an interplay of data and software.
In this role, an individual can expect to build the bridges between our end-users and our powerful backend systems - prioritising polish and the user experience. As a team largely composed of talented Data Engineers, we're looking for someone that will help us bring solutions to market that look and feel good to interact with. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A Web Developer at Evodian can expect to encounter the following responsibilities day-to-day:
* Website Development - Software development of websites to be used in both intranets and the internet (i.e. company website, frontends for existing backends, real-time monitoring interfaces, embedded integrations in existing platforms, etc.).
* Mobile App Development - Software development of apps to be used in both intranets and the internet (most likely to be achieved hand-in-hand with website development via PWAs).
* API Integration - Integrating with APIs internal and external to the firm with careful consideration for performance and cost governance.
* API Development - Development of APIs to integrate with web deliverables.
* Design (visual & technical) - Use of wireframing and other techniques to outline the design of web deliverables whilst factoring in interaction design principles. This role requires a confidence with web technologies that will be used to inform the technical design of web projects (i.e. choices between frameworks, rendering paradigms, etc. based on project requirements and constraints).
* Documentation - Working with internal stakeholders to document the requirements and implementation of web deliverables.
* Graphic Design - An ideal candidate would be capable of producing visual assets that can be used throughout web deliverables and accompanying marketing assets.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Would suit 3rd year university students and onwards in relevant fields
(e.g. Information Technology, Computer Science).
* An affinity for producing good-looking deliverables.
* Self-motivated with a passion for problem-solving.
* Works well in a team environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Time, task, and priority management.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ambition to learn and grow.
* Familiarity with the following will make you suitable for the position:
o JavaScript, HTML & CSS (including animations) and variations thereof
o Both CSR & SSR technologies/techniques
o Cross-platform frameworks
o Interaction design & human-computer interaction
o Source control
o Graphic design
* Familiarity with the following tooling is not required, but could be advantageous:
o React
o JSON, YAML, XML & other popular serialisation formats
o APIs for ERPs, CRMs, maps providers, etc.
o GitHub or GitLab
o Kubernetes or containerisation more broadly
o Kafka or messaging platforms more broadly
o Figma
o Postman
o Go, TypeScript, SQL, Python
o C# & .NET Framework (ideal for a certain project)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* This is a full-time role in-person at our freshly renovated Northern Gold Coast office.
* Have the right to work in Australia without conditions.
* Salary will be acknowledged based on your relevant experience.
* Ability to start in mid-to-late April 2026.
