About the role
There is an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Hotel/Pub Duty Manager at this outstanding and beautifully presented waterfront venue in the Gold Coast. Gold Coast Tavern boasts a sophisticated, modern and stylish design, which incorporates top quality fixtures and fittings. Gold Coast Tavern offers an exceptional menu, outstanding quality food, a full suite of beverage choices and loads of entertainment and promotional activities.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our team. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who leads by example, drives high standards, and takes pride in creating memorable customer experiences.

Skills and experience
* Proficiency in both food and beverage management in a high calibre hotel venue with minimum two (2) years' experience is essential.
* Strong understanding of gaming and TAB facilities.
* Maintain a high standard of service to all patrons, while ensuring compliance with company policies, Liquor Act, Gaming Machines Act and government regulations.
* Ensure smooth running of hotel operations on designated shifts.
* Complete all cash reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
* Proactively supervise all staff by providing clear and consistent direction, ensuring that Company standards are adhered to at all times, as well as promoting a harmonious team environment.
* A candidate with experience in successfully managing events and implementing successful marketing ideas would be looked upon favourably.
* Be willing to take responsibility and accountability.
* The right candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus, as well as be professionally presented and groomed at all times.
* Committed, trustworthy and responsible professionals are what we are seeking. The candidates must be flexible and available to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, public holidays, when rostering demands this.
An Australian National Police Check within the last 3 months is required.
