Apprentice Painter Blaster Role
The role of an Apprentice Painter Blaster is to develop skills and knowledge in a department, ensuring technical competency.
This involves following rules and procedures related to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
You will become familiar with and safely operate various tools and equipment necessary for preparation, blasting, priming, colouring, and top coating of engineering components and products.
The role includes selecting shot, primer, and paint to meet specifications, masking off correctly, and handling equipment with care.
You will be trained in processes such as banksman slinging, overhead gantry crane operation, and use of tools, preparation equipment, hand and cabinet blasters, spray equipment, measuring equipment, and curing ovens.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of National 4 Maths and practical subjects
* Good hand skills
* Ability to follow instructions
* Attention to detail
* Communication skills
* Responsibility for tasks allocated
