About The Role
As Department Manager / Coordinator at Bunnings you will be responsible for the ongoing daily operations, sales and high-volume stock management within your department. You will work closely with fellow leaders in service, home, builders, and garden departments while reporting directly to the Operations and Complex Manager. You and your team of 20+ team members will deliver the best customer experience while ensuring the department is full, clean and tidy.
The role includes a minimum of 1 in 3 weekend roster and some public holiday work is required.
What's Involved
* Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment, including duty manager responsibilities such as opening and closing the store on weekdays and weekends.
* Coaching and training team members on best service and safety standards, including performance management and recognition.
* Rostering and workforce planning to deliver on our service promise and support team goal achievement.
* Analyze customer feedback to improve the end‐to‐end experience.
* Manage daily stock flow, seasonal campaigns, inventory and stock loss management, visual merchandising, and safe replenishment.
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have previous retail leadership experience in a large environment, a strong passion for customer service and merchandising standards, and a results‐focused mindset.
You'll Need
* Previous experience supervising a team in a fast‐paced environment.
* Proven ability to coach and develop others, providing constructive feedback.
* Ability to be on your feet assisting customers across a wide range of retail hours.
* Open, honest, and respectful communication style.
* Eagerness to learn about new products.
