Consultant Paediatrician - Coastal Regional VIC
Are you ready for a rewarding sea change and the opportunity to make a real impact in paediatric care? We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician to join a regional health service located in a beautiful part of coastal Victoria.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will join a collegiate team of paediatric specialists providing high-quality care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and community settings. The service includes:
* A Level 4 Obstetrics unit with approximately 430 births annually
* A Level 3 Special Care Nursery
* Around 650 general paediatric admissions per year
* Over 16,000 ED presentations, with around 25% being paediatric cases
* A well‐established community paediatric clinic running five days per week
* Outreach consulting services provided to surrounding areas
You will work alongside up to four Consultant Paediatricians, a Paediatric Registrar (Advanced Trainee), and a HMO, with strong links to regional referral services.
About You
To be considered, you must:
* Hold current registration with AHPRA (or eligibility to obtain)
* Be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics
* Have extensive experience in general paediatrics across both community and hospital settings
* Be confident in neonatal resuscitation and general neonatology
