The Global Sourcing business is a specialist medical supply business that sources and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumable supplies to healthcare professionals in over 160 countries worldwide. We have offices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and APAC. The company's main divisions encompass everything from International Sales through Sales to NGO's and Charities, Clinical Trials Supply, Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and the storage and distribution of medical products and devices for third parties.

The role
This role will provide strategic and operational leadership in financial management for the APAC region. This role will oversee financial planning, analysis, reporting, compliance and risk management, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be a key member of the regional leadership team, driving growth and operational excellence. This role demands a mix of strategic foresight, operational precision, and strong collaborative skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership:
* Develop and implement the regional financial strategy in alignment with global objectives.
* Provide financial guidance to the regional leadership team to support strategic decision‐making.
* Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking across the region.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
* Lead the annual budgeting process and long‐term financial planning.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance analysis.
* Provide actionable insights to optimize revenue, costs, and profitability.
3. Financial Operations:
* Manage the accounting, payroll, tax, and treasury functions across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
* Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
* Drive automation and efficiency in financial operations.
4. Reporting & Compliance:
* Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts to stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and financial regulations.
* Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
5. Business Partnering:
* Work closely with cross‐functional teams to align financial goals with business strategies.
* Support M&A activity, including due diligence and post‐integration financial oversight.
* Act as a trusted advisor to regional business units and senior leadership.
6. People & Culture
* Overseeing People & Culture during a key growth phase of the company.
* Ensure people, structure, and costs scale responsibly with the business.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high‐performing finance team across multiple countries.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the finance organization.
Skills and Competencies
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/ACA preferred).
* 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with significant exposure to Asian and European markets.
* Strong understanding of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and European regulatory environments.
* Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and execution within a multinational organization.
* Experience in leading finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to influence and inspire.
* Exceptional analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
* Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.

This role will be based out of our APAC offices where a flexible hybrid working model is available. It's important to achieve the right balance between face‐to‐face interactions with virtual working over the long term. There will be a requirement to travel with this role. Moreover, there will be flexibility required to interact with colleagues (i.e., it's not a '9 to 5' type of job).
