Our client is a global market leader in a range of products & solutions to their vast customer base. They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead warehousing, distribution and logistics operations across Australia.
This is a hands‐on leadership role with responsibility for multiple sites, 3PL partners and a team of 6 direct reports, located throughout Australia. This role is well suited to an operational leader who thrives on continuous improvement, cost optimisation and delivering strong service outcomes in complex environments.
In this role, you'll lead end‐to‐end warehouse and distribution operations nationally, with a strong focus on warehouse operational efficiency and productivity, freight cost optimisation, transport & shipping performance, and inventory management,
Key responsibilities
* Lead and manage warehouses and 3PL providers across Australia
* Drive high inventory accuracy and lead stocktake activities
* Select, manage and monitor transport providers, including DIFOT performance and freight costs
* Optimise labour utilisation across warehouse and logistics operations
* Resolve operational and customer delivery issues efficiently and professionally
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing and distribution
* Build, lead and develop operations/warehouse teams
What we are looking for
* Proven experience in a multi‐site operations leadership role
* Strong background in warehousing, distribution and logistics
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
* Commercial mindset with a track record of improving cost, service and productivity outcomes
* Confident communicator able to work effectively with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers
* Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present insights
* Passport and willingness to travel as required
